We had a great first day of our big adventure! Rick and Darlene and Tia and David and Doozer and I were given a royal send off by Dorotha, Vicki, Mom and Dad. Rick and Daddy prayed for our trip and families and we took off! Everyone knows that meals are very important parts of our trips. We stopped at the Fairview Diner on Snow Bird Lane and saw JoeBob, Tracy, and Mitchell and before we left Dave Lough! The landscape quickly became flat as we traveled across Ohio today. We are spending the night in Fort Wayne, Indiana and will shoot for LaCrosse, WI tomorrow night. Our favorite comment today came from a man at a gas station in Bellefontaine Ohio. He asked about Rick and Darlene's trailer, they explained that the trailer was equipped with an air conditioner to keep the dog cool. His response was, "It must be great to be your dog." Mother Nature was kind, it only rained on us the last ten minutes of our trip.
Sounds like you could not have had a better day 1! Mom was glad to get the call from Rick that you were off the road and in for the night. Be careful and have fun tomorrow, I will be looking forward to your day 2 blog. Tom just showed me your travel day on the map. All is well here. ♥ Vicki
I'm glad you're having a great time. The man in Ohio has a point: Tia and Doozer do know how to ride in style! Jim was happy to hear that you only got rained on the last ten minutes (haha). I love you!
